this is some of the work I have done over the years in art. this is not all of it, just a sampling
While not following the mouse it does move side to side now. I think that I may need to tweak the mouseX so the computer can go from the point to point. I think this is a round about way of doing it but it does work and while not interactive it does react to where the mouse is on the screen which is what I was going for.

this went on to be an interesting project but I didn't work on cirten parts too much and went off doing nothing productive as I was happy...
