Philip Guston and censorship

This is something I don't really get. While yes there is a lot of controversial imagery but while that is true it's still art where the message is different then what is being presented. i could understand if they said it was for the covid types of reasons but for four years is probably not for that. I am not sure how this reflects on me but i see this as less of a move to being politicly correct and more of a marketing move for two main reasons. the first is the one disused in the article but more to that there may be riots or something about it. but also it's a marketing move as well to postpone it. With the world how it is there will not be huge crowds and then that means they won't get as much money or whatever to make up for the coasts. now it could not be that at all and i may just be making speculation but if you think of the finances of operation they felt that it wouldn't be worth the time investment of setting up to out weigh the actual cost of operation. So I get it with censorship and other things but it makes sense from a business stand point and if they cared a little about doing it right and giving the artist respect it would makes sense to postpone it. And well business and marketing sometimes get in the way of freedom of expression mostly on accident though.
