what is art? and How does one define it?

The Documentary " What is art?" is something I have a lot of things to say on. Firstly, its definition. I think the oxford dictionary puts this the worst. it is very VERY bland and looking at it strictly in a scientific type mindset and does not count the why or whom into the evaluation. In all honesty art is the form of with vision can take to represent a thought, vision, P.o.V., or even a feeling. This is not limited nor even fully what art is or represents. It's also interesting in that even my definition is wrong on some level as well. Art can't really be answered so easily. I think I agree with art is long life is short. In my mind this makes the most sense when it comes to defining art , mainly be cause it is in it of itself a trans formative phrase. Though, it's a simple phrase its origin is where it shines brightest. This is originally a Greek phrase "Ars Longa, vita brevis" it was originally thought to only mean that in your short life the technics used are long and can't be fully mastered. But, its meaning has changed over time same as how art changes as well. Though art to me has no absolute defined wording for what it is or represents that does not stop these people from creating and making art. and that to me is my definition, Art is Art and it truly lives free from definition.
